1001 Friday Nights

El 5 de agosto, fui la invitada especial de www.1001fridays.org. http://www.storytellingtoronto.org/ Heather fue la presentadora para la ocasion.  El publico, en su mayoria narradores canadienses, tambien participo contando cuentos.  Para este evento elegi narrar una leyenda argentina "El quirquincho, el zorro y las empanadas" y el cuento del escritor argentino Guillermo Martinez "Infierno Grande" ( http://guillermomartinezweb.blogspot.com   )
Narre ambos en ingles, lo cual significo un trabajo previo importante de traduccion y adaptacion.  
Para cerrar, con Heather Whaley (www.heatherwhaley.ca) narramos en tandem bilingue "The Clever Turtle", el mismo cuento que habiamos narrado en Buenos Aires durante el cierre del Encuentro Internacional de Narraci'on en la Feria del Libro.


Heather Whaley hosted the 1001 Friday Nights at Innis College Cafe, and i was her special guest.  I told an argentinian folktale "The armadillo, the fox and the empanadas" and a story by a young contemporary argentine author named Guillermo Martinez "Vast Hell"  You can read the story in english in the following link>  http://guillermomartinezweb.blogspot.com/2011/06/vast-hell.html.   
I told both stories in english, and that meant a lot of previous work, translating and adjusting the texts.  
Heather and I told the story "Clever Turtle" in bilingual tandem.  
There were wonderful storytellers in the audiencie, who also participated.  All in all, it was an exceptional night.
